RUBINGTON PRODUCTS ARE HAND-CRAFTED AND MACHINE-SEWN USING CAREFULLY SELECTED, DIFFERENT TYPES OF FULL-GRAIN AND TOP-GRAIN LEATHER HIDES.
FOR YOUR RUBINGTON GEAR TO STAY IN MINT CONDITION FOR A LONG TIME, THE SAME CARE WE’VE TAKEN IN THE CRAFTING SHOULD ALSO BE TAKEN IN THE USING.

Usage

Camera Straps

Rubington camera straps are used the exact same way a stock camera strap that come along with camera is used. You can continue to carry your camera as you did before, hanging down your neck or down/across your shoulder with Rubington camera straps.

Connecting Rubington camera straps to your camera however, is a little different than connecting to stock camera strap. Rubington camera straps come with ‘Rubi-Loop’ connectors that allow the straps to be attached/detached to/from the camera with ease – making them also very practical. Once you connect the ‘Redi-Loop’ connectors to your camera, you can use the quick-release buckles to swiftly attach/detach the strap to/from your camera in seconds. We recommend keeping the ‘Rubi-Loop’ connectors on the camera at all times unless they create an inconvenience for certain conditions.

If you are storing your camera in its bag/case/pouch, we recommend detaching your Rubington camera strap, rolling it and separately placing in your in the bag/case/pouch. This way, the finishing of the leather will stay in top-notch condition for a longer time.

If you will not be using your Rubington camera strap for a long time, we recommend storing your strap rolled, in a place with low humidity and no direct sunlight.

Guitar Straps

Rubington guitar straps are used the exact same way any other guitar strap is used – simply attach it to your guitar and wear it across your shoulders.

However attaching Rubington guitar straps to your guitar is a little different than attaching conventional guitar straps. Rubington guitar straps come with with built-in strap locks that can only be attached to strap lock buttons that are designed specifically for these strap locks – which are provided along with every Rubington guitar strap.

Replacing the stock strap buttons on your guitar with the provided strap lock buttons is fairly straightforward – however even though there’s no drilling involved, if you feel like you’re not comfortable with using a screwdriver, you may want to take your guitar to a guitar shop.

To install the strap lock buttons provided with your Rubington guitar strap, simply unscrew the stock strap buttons on your guitar and if possible using the original screw, if not, using the provided screw, screw the strap lock buttons into the same hole.

Connecting/disconnecting the strap locks on your Rubington guitar strap to/off of their counterparts on your guitar is simply done by pulling the pin on the strap lock and sliding it onto/from the strap lock button on your guitar.

Care

While the leather used in all Rubington gear will age gracefully and gain a more natural look and feel, your Rubington gear will require no special maintenance in normal conditions.

Please do not use any products advertised as ‘leather protectors’ or ‘leather shiners’ in order to clean/shine your Rubington gear. If you need to clean your Rubington gear, simply use a damp cloth and gently wipe any stain. If your Rubington gear gets soaking wet, simply lay it on a flat surface and let it dry in the shade with no direct sunlight.

If for any reason you require a more serious cleaning, please consult your dry-cleaner.

If you follow these simple recommendation, you can enjoy your Rubington gear for a long time in mint-condition.
